LEAD (M/F/D) INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (EUROPEAN PATENT ATTORNEY) BERLIN
We are seeking to recruit at the earliest possibility and on a full-time permanent basis a Lead (m/f/d) Intellectual Property Management with a focus on Life Science and Biotech for the KWS Group. The position is located either in Berlin or at our Headquarters in Einbeck, Lower Saxony, within KWS SAAT SE &Co. KGaA.
Your Tasks – Challenge meets Responsibility:

Lead an evolving team of IP Managers, providing training and coaching to ensure their full development into IP ambassadors with broad IP proficiency

Provide IP expertise to the KWS Group to expand and maintain a robust and cost balanced IP Portfolio with special focus on Europe
-
Identify IP generation opportunities and steer patent prosecution in line with business needs
-
Advise on IP matters on a global scale for mergers & acquisitions as well as for interactions and transactions with competitors

Develop and implement Freedom-to-Operate positions for the KWS Group
-
Provide your insights and ideas to bring the team of IP Managers to the next level

Take responsibility to further develop and train KWS employees across the organization in the field of IP
Your Profile – Competence meets Personality:
-
Strong Leadership experience, preferably with focus on team and talent development
-
Extensive working experience in IP matters in industry or private practice
-
Qualification as European Patent Attorney
-
Master or Ph.D. degree in life sciences, biology, agronomy, or plant breeding plus knowledge of the seed industry
-
Excellent analytical, communication, networking, and collaboration skills
-
Very good English and good German skills (oral and written)
